Untethered Boat
Since 1986, the artist has painted as a means to find voice and self understanding. She relies on creativity as her main tool and has devoted years to mastering her skills. This latest series of mixed media works resulted from a surrender to the Muses of music, dance, drama, and nature. The textures, colors, and movement evoke an artist at freedom and play, much like an untethered boat that journeys without restrictions, boundaries, or a desire for perfection.
